Located in Chico in the heart of Northern California's Central Valley, Pioneer Spirits is a privately held limited liability corporation owned and managed by three long-term friends. The business of the company is the production of high quality spirits for local and regional consumption.

Our products were chosen based on the fact that they do not have to be aged and therefore can be sold 30 days after production. These include Rum and Corn Whiskey as our initial offerings. However, our main emphasis is the handcrafting of traditional American Sour Mash whiskies. These must be aged a minimum of 2 years before being designated as "Straight" whiskey, so we will be aging as much whiskey as possible.

Initially, our products will be distributed throughout Northern California. We are limited by the regulations of a '3-tier' sales system, meaning that all of our products must be sold to wholesalers and distributors. Our products are sold in cases of twelve 750ml bottles to wholesalers. If the public wishes to purchase a bottle of our spirits, they must buy from a liquor store or at a restaurant.

We are very proud of our 300 gallon copper still, a traditional American style still made by the Revenoor company in Oregon. The small batch process affords us the opportunity to maximize the quality of our products. We strive to use only the finest locally grown and produced ingredients. Pride and Patience is our motto and we age our products using only the highest quality oak barrels available.

Additionally, we offer private labeling and private casking to individuals and companies interested in enjoying their own. For a deposit, we will craft a whiskey for you, age it, and bottle it under your own labeling. Great for hunting clubs, recreational clubs, and corporate events.
